An explorer’s paradise within Mana Pools National Park, Kanga Camp nestles alongside a seasonal floodplain in a private concession, 15 kms from the Zambezi River.

The camp overlooks the area’s only year-round water source available – Kanga Pan, and during the dry months, this is a busy hub, providing excellent “armchair” game viewing.

Kanga offers a rich, African safari experience in a remote, unspoilt location. 4 Meru-style tents and 2 honeymoon/family tents afford attractive accommodation with a classic “Out of Africa” ambiance and outdoor bathrooms. Ideal for quiet moments of tranquility, private verandas command picturesque vistas over the pan.

Guest areas sculptured around the trunks of ancient ebony and nyala berry trees are four tiered decks shaded by canvas sails. The open design of the lodge allows guests to feel a part of the natural surrounds. Exciting views of animals drawn down to drink at the pan right outside camp.

At the beginning of the season (May) canoeing, full day excursions to the Zambezi River and Chitake Spring visits can be pre-arranged.
