Khulu Bush Camp is located on a private concession of 6,000 acres and is the smaller more intimate sister lodge to Ivory Lodge.

The entire camp overlooks an ancient riverbed, with the waterhole attracting a variety of the greatest wildlife and birdlife in Hwange National Park.

Khulu Bush Camp comprises of 5 thatched, safari-style Suites built onto platforms and 1 luxury Honeymoon Suite. The rooms are elegant and contemporary with minimal impact to the surroundings and environment. Each Suite has an indoor and outdoor shower, complimentary mini bars and Nespresso machines and the honeymoon suite also has an outside bath.

There is a plunge pool located on the deck of the main area as well as a raised fire pit for stargazing and night caps.

Safari Experience

Activities on offer are; half day game drives or full day game drives, night drives, visits to the Painted Dog Conservation Centre, walking safaris, pan/hide sits, game counts (on prior request).

An early morning wake up and either a full english breakfast or a continental breakfast is served before the morning activity which usually heads out between 5.30 and 7am.

You will return back to camp around 10.30/11am for a rest and then a light lunch near the pool or in the main area.

This is followed by a relax or swim at camp.

At 4pm it is time for the next afternoon excursion and this is completed usually by 7pm.

Wildlife & Birdlife

Hwange and Hwange national park is currently Zimbabwe’s most active park and is home to a prolific array of game and wildlife.

These include carnivores such as hyeana, lion, leopard and cheetah and plains game such as elephant, buffalo, kudu, sable, eland, impala and other specialised species such as giraffe, zebra, jackal and many many more.
