Tusk & Mane is a mobile safaris operation in the remote regions of the Lower Zambezi National Park.

Consisting of a mobile base camp and two fly camps all lovingly owned and operated by Luke Evans & Kyle Branch.  Both have a wealth of guiding experience and will guide and host each safari with a maximum of 8 guests.  Five guests in one group would have the camp exclusively.  These are classic tented safaris of old with campfire, bucket showers and starry nights!  Tusk & Mane welcome children and if younger than 14 years the safari will be made exclusive to families of five or more.

Fly camps are a unique way of experiencing the wildlife rich and diverse areas of the Lower Zambezi either by foot, canoe, vehicle or boat.  The activities can be tailored to suit you and your group/family and be as long as you wish.

Base Camp – Tent fully mobile, 5 m x 4 m with ensuite bathroom with bucket shower and flushing toilets

Fly Camp – Tent, 3 m x 3m x 2 metres high with two sets of shared bathroom facilities – 4 tents maximum

Safari Experience

Whilst the emphasis is on walking safaris and canoe safaris, game drives and fishing are readily available.  The experience is a back to nature wilderness adventure.

Wildlife & Birdlife

Prolific wildlife includes elephant, buffalo, hippo, crocodile, lion and leopard.  Nocturnal creatures include honey badgers and porcupine.

The birdlife is magical too with carmine bee eaters nesting in the Zambezi riverbanks.
