Safari Experience

A private safari vehicle with ranger and tracker offers a completely flexible itinerary for daily game drives, nature walks, big game walking safaris (tracking white rhino, black rhino, elephant and buffalo on foot) and fishing. Spend the afternoon hours in the library enjoying a quiet session with a book, relax around the pool or have some fun with the large collection of board games.

Kwandwe offers guests a diverse and flexible safari experience with a team of highly qualified and experienced rangers. Guests have the option to request a dedicated specialist ranger (at an additional rate) with a private vehicle for the duration of a stay, for a completely flexible and tailor-made walking, fishing, birding, photographic or rhino conservation safari experience.

Eco-nect Family Programme – Aimed at involving both parents and children, families have the opportunity to reconnect with one another whilst spending quality time together out on the reserve in fun and adventurous ways. Kwandwe’s malaria-free status and proximity to a range of child-friendly activities in the area make this a safari experience without parallel for families.

Wildlife & Birdlife

An award winning game reserve, Kwandwe covers approximately 22,000 hectares of pristine private wilderness that stretches either side of the Great Fish River which meanders for 30 kilometres through scenic landscapes of savanna and thickets.

It is home to all the Big 5 (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino).  Other predators include cheetah, wild dog and hyena.
