The Silo Hotel was originally a grain silo built in the 1920’s and has recently been transformed into a luxurious new hotel that is the talk of Cape Town!  This modern industrial-style property is a magical space towering above Cape Town’s V & A Waterfront.

Built from the grain elevator portion of the historic grain silo complex, it occupies the six floors above the Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa (MOCAA), SA’s answer to the acclaimed Tate Modern and MoMA in New York. A building to grace the Cape Town skyline, with its pillowed glazing panels, by night it transforms into a glowing lantern.

The Silo is superbly located in the centre of Cape Town close to the V&A Waterfront and is the ideal base from which to explore all that Cape Town has to offer. At the hotel itself, guests can relax at the spa, take afternoon tea overlooking Table Mountain, quaff champagne on the roof, swim in the rooftop pool or enjoy a guided tour of the museum.

The Silo Hotel has 28 rooms, including a spectacular one bedroom penthouse. Each room has been individually designed and decorated by the stylish wand of Liz Biden. Colourful and eclectic pieces juxtapose the modern, industrial architecture. The 6 room categories are based on the room size and the views.
