Sossusvlei Desert Lodge offers luxurious accommodation in 10 free-standing glass and stone villas sympathetically built to the environment, and designed to capture the splendour and solitude of the desert with absolute privacy. Villa’s feature air-conditioning, a private veranda, split level bedroom and living room with a fireplace, en-suite glass-encased bathroom and outdoor shower, star-viewing skylight above the bed, discreet CD system, personal minibar and a compact spotting scope.
Located at the foot of a mountain the villas overlook an expansive Namib grass plain that leads to a sea of hills and red sand dunes. The split-level main lodge is an ensemble of glass and stone curves with walls of windows maximising the awesome desert landscape. There are quiet hideaways, viewing decks, a bar, fireplace, dining room, well stocked wine cellar, main sitting room and terrace, viewing deck, Safari Shop, observatory and rim-flow pool.
