Benguerra Island Lodge is a small and intimate lodge on an unspoilt island off the coast of Mozambique.  It’s surrounded by warm, turquoise Indian Ocean waters and white sandy beaches.

Benguerra Lodge is a fusion of Mozambique, East African and Arabic flair which is evident in furnishings, interior decoration and food. There is a large reception with curio shop, an expansive lounge, bar and dining room all with large decks offering indoor and outdoor seating areas; a swimming pool and a small spa.

A bush and beach retreat, Benguerra has 13 rooms comprising of Casitas, Cabanas and one Villa.  The Cabanas are the more economical option raised on stilts; the more luxurious Casitas have a deck with a private plunge pool; the Villa has a personal chef and private swimming pool. All accommodation includes en-suite bathrooms with a separate bath and outdoor shower, mosquito net and overhead fan, minibar, tea and coffee facilities, great sea views and direct beach access.

Two Cabana’s, 10 Casista’s and Casa Familia – The villa caters for a maximum of 4 adults and 2 children (with a third or fourth child on request)

Safari Experience

Activities offered at Benguerra include sea kayaking, sunset dhow cruises and village visits. The fully equipped PADI dive centre offers snorkeling excursions, fishing charters, horse riding and picnics.
