Kaya Mawa is a luxury beach lodge based on Likoma Island in Lake Malawi, set on a south facing crescent beach on Likoma Island  in Lake Malawi.

The lodge has been hand-built by the islanders and designed to fit into the environment whilst maximising views and lake acccess.  All the luxurious rooms have lake access and/or a private plunge pool.

Translated as “Maybe tomorrow” in the local dialect, good use has been made of the stunning natural surrounding to create an idyllic island lodge of unique character and imagination with a very special ambiance.  Kaya Mawa is located on Likoma Island, half way up Lake Malawi, close to the Mozambique mainland and is covered with mango trees and ancient baobabs, encircled by glorious sandy beaches and rocky covers.  Voted as one of the most romantic places to stay, families and couples are equally at home on the lake.

Likoma Island, surrounded by the pristine waters of Lake Malawi, is widely regarded as having the best diving on the Lake,  both in terms of the  diversity of fish species and their sheer abundance.  Kaya Mawa is a recognised PADI resort and offers wonderful diving.
