Danforth is owner-run and is both a Malawi yacht charter company and a luxury lodge, focusing on sailing and water sports. The eight air-conditioned rooms are tastefully decorated in cool, nautical colours and all opening onto a large patio. All rooms have spectacular views of the lake and look out over Thumbi West Island. The garden has shady lawns, leading to our sparkling, beach side, infinity swimming pool.
Activities from the lodge include sailing and cruising on the yacht “Mufasa”, Hobie cat and dingy sailing, Snorkelling and Scuba diving. There is also Water-skiing, wake-boarding, tube rides, Kayaking and Fishing.
For land lovers there is fishing, mountain biking, guided nature walks, birding and cultural outings to the traditional village.
