Kafue: Kafue is Zambia’s largest National Park with a hugely varying landscape including the Kafue River, Lake Itezhi Tezhi, open plains, grassy dambos and miombo woodland.
South Luangwa: The South Luangwa has it all. The meandering Luangwa River, stunning scenery, big game, knowledgeable guides and a choice of intimate elegant lodges and remote bush camps.
Lower Zambezi: The Lower Zambezi National Park may be one of Zambia’s smallest parks, but it is certainly one of it’s most picturesque. The main attraction is the dry season (July to October) game viewing when the diverse wildlife congregates near the Zambezi River.
Livingstone: Named after the legendary explorer, is now the adventure capital at the Victoria Falls, attracting visitors from all over the world mainly to stand and gaze in awe at the Victoria Falls, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World.
31 July 2018 – You will receive a Complimentary Meet & Greet at Johannesburg Airport and be escorted to meet a South African Airways flight to Lusaka. There you will receive a Complimentary Meet & Greet and be guided through to your connecting Wilderness flight into Kafue National Park where you will spend the next 3 nights in one tent in Shumba Camp, fully inclusive of meals and game viewing activities. Afternoon tea followed by your first evening game drive.
We include a Complimentary Hot Air Balloon Ride over the Busanga Plains (subject to availability).
Shumba Camp is located in the Busanga Plains area of Kafue and considered to be the jewel in the Kafue crown. The Plains are home to hundreds of red lechwe, puku, roan and the diminutive orbit. As well as Lichtenstein’s hartebeest, herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo and Defassa waterbuck are often seen. The plains game is a big attraction for predators, including wild dog packs, lone cheetah and lion prides.
3 August 2018 – Depart Shumba by light aircraft to Lusaka to connect with your flight to Mfuwe on the edge of the South Luangwa National Park. You will be met for a road transfer to Sanctuary Puku Ridge Camp to spend 3 nights, in this luxury tented camp, fully inclusive of all meals and game viewing activities.
Puku Ridge Camp is located on the edge of an escarpment in the heart of the South Luangwa National Park in Zambia. Built on a hillside and named after the elusive Puku antelope, Puku Ridge overlooks the game-rich Kakumbi Dambo floodplain providing stunning panoramic vistas.
6 August 2018 – Depart Puku Ridge by road transfer to Mfuwe for your direct flight into the Lower Zambezi National Park. You will spend the next 3 nights, fully inclusive in a Superior Tent at the Award Winning Chiawa Camp on the banks of the Zambezi River. Your arrival into camp will be by road and boat.
A rugged escarpment punctuates a halt to this Garden of Eden, confining and concentrating the wildlife within the park. This makes for exceptional game viewing. Lion and leopards (the parks major predators), stalk buffalo and antelope species sharing this territory with serval, honey badgers, hyenas, porcupine, genets and more.
You will spend days packed with exhilarating activities including 4×4 open vehicle game drives into the park, as well as water activities of canoeing, tiger fishing and sunset boat safaris on the Zambezi.
9 August – Depart the Lower Zambezi by light aircraft from Royal Airstrip via Lusaka to Livingstone where you will be met and take a shared road transfer to Tongabezi Lodge to spend 4 nights on a Pay 3 Stay 4 night basis in Tree House or Bird House, fully inclusive of all meals, local brand drinks, house wine, sparkling wine, house spirits, lodge activities and laundry.
Warmly welcoming, Tongabezi on the Zambezi River merges quirky luxury, tranquil ambiance and a communion with nature. Delight in island lunches, social, hosted meals or floating, candlelit dinners all served with the attentive care in which Tongabezi prides itself.

The camp is situated within close proximity to permanent water and has easy access to a mix of seasonal and permanent floodplains.
Shumba Camp comprises of six spacious luxury safari tents on raised platforms with spectacular views of the surrounding plains. The rooms are large, en-suite with both indoor and outdoor showers. The dining and bar area is elevated so as to take in this vista and each morning’s sunrise. Dinner takes place either here or in the cosy boma where guests can also enjoy elements of local Zambian culture.
