Fly to Cape Town arriving mid morning. You will be met and transferred to Cape Grace Hotel, your home for 4 nights in a Luxury Table Mountain Room including breakfast.
Afternoon at leisure – perhaps exploring the vibrant V&A Waterfront and/or take High Tea at the iconic Belmond Mount Nelson Hotel or “Nellie” as it is locally known. This is a scrumptious affair where you can seat yourself on the terrace or in the glorious gardens by the fountain.
You will be collected at your hotel for this special Private Full Day Cape Peninsula Tour.
Beginning at Kalk Bay, best known for its working fishing harbour and bohemian feel. Browse the arts and crafts on offer, perhaps do a bit of shopping in the quirky fashion boutiques and enjoy the antiques and collectables along the main strip. Next, head over to Simon’s Town for those keen to find out more about the rich history surrounding this naval town, museums and monuments providing plenty of insight. Bringing this naval town to life is an insight into the shark diving industry and stories of Just Nuisance – Great Dane, WWII mascot and only dog ever enlisted in the Royal Navy.
Before heading into the Cape Peninsula itself in search of your own rogue penguins – a splinter colony away from the crowded boardwalks over the main breeding site – on a beach known only to locals. Your tour continues with a gentle hike in the Cape Peninsula Reserve, exploring secluded beaches, and this region’s unique wildlife. The return journey weaves back to Cape Town via Noordhoek Farm Village a food artisan hub of the Peninsula and – time permitting – stopping for a sundowner at a local brewery, vineyard, beach or scenic look-out, whatever takes your fancy.
At leisure to explore the many sights of Cape Town – one of the world’s top tourist destinations. There are so many things to do and see depending on your interests including:
The list is endless and we will be pleased to discuss and organise a whole range of tour options to enhance your special stay in the “Mother City” of Cape Town.
You will be collected from your hotel for this Private Winelands Tour to explore one of the most scenically beautiful areas in South Africa, visiting fascinating towns and taking a look into off-the-beaten track farms which revel in their old-world roots and influences. Today is about so much more than just sipping the wines.
Depending on time and season, stroll through the vines, learning about farming methods and techniques. Take an intimate wine-tasting and cellar tour and possibly meet the driving force behind the estate. If lucky, our behind-the-scenes experience could include grape picking or barrel tastings.
Spend time in Stellenbosch, browsing through its wealth of appealing stores and museums and sip local coffee blends in tempting cafes. Let the pairing of wine and olives awaken your senses before we meander through lush gardens bursting with life. Admire a collection of contemporary art, see the highest-growing vines and, from an elevated point, take in the stunning vistas over an old-world estate.
This afternoon, discover Franschhoek. Established by the French Huguenots in 1688, this town retains its historic charm but has fused it with a contemporary vibe. It boasts gourmet restaurants, appealing boutiques and art galleries.
After a morning at leisure you will be driven to Cape Town Station to board The Blue Train departing at 1600 hrs.
From 2019 this is a two night journey on board this luxurious train that has been synonymous with luxury hospitality since the 1940’s – a journey formally enjoyed by Kings and Presidents.
You will have a Deluxe Suite with the finest bed linens, marble tiles and gold fittings in the bathrooms!
On Day 2 of your trip The Blue Train arrives at Kimberley Station where guests disembark to make a visit to the Kimberley Open Mine Museum that depicts Kimberley in its Victorian Heyday during the diamond rush. Also on display are the “616” (616 carats), the largest uncut diamond in the world, and the “Eureka”, the first diamond discovered in South Africa.
A trip to the Northern Cape Province would be incomplete without a detour to include the Big Hole in Kimberley; it is an opportunity not to be missed. What began as a flat-topped hill is today a gaping hole measuring 215 metres deep, with a surface area of 17 hectares and a perimeter of 1.6 kilometres.
On arrival into Pretoria at 1030 hrs you will be transferred to Castello Di Monte, a palatial villa in the upmarket Waterkloof Ridge suburb of Pretoria.
Overnight in 1 Classic Suite including breakfast. Dine on superb international cuisine, perhaps have a game of roof-top chess whilst gazing out over the Capital, or unwind with a revitalising in-room wellness treatment.
After breakfast take a private road transfer to Johannesburg O R Tambo International Airport for your flight to Victoria Falls.
On arrival you will be met for a Private Road Transfer to Victoria Falls Safari Club to spend 2 nights in 1 Club Room including breakfast. Victoria Falls Safari Club is positioned on a natural plateau overlooking the Zambezi National Park and is well removed from the tourist hub closer to the Falls. Its thatch structure and wilderness setting creates an appealing lodge-feel with uninterrupted bushveld views.
Enjoy complimentary afternoon tea and sundowner cocktails and snacks, cool off in the pool after activities or unwind with a head & shoulder or foot massage. Also witness the spectacular sight of hundreds of vultures descend from the sky, from a secluded ‘hide’ on a vulture culture experience.
Use the lodge’s courtesy shuttle to get into Victoria Falls town and the Victoria Falls Rainforest.
There is always plenty to do at Victoria Falls: browse the markets, go white water rafting (seasonal), take a flight over the Falls, relax on a sundowner Zambezi River cruise or indulge in a scrumptious High Tea at the iconic Victoria Falls Hotel – the choices at the Falls are endless!
After a leisurely morning depart Victoria Falls Safari Club for the short road journey to Victoria Falls Airport to meet with your connecting flight.
Alternatively, if you have more time we highly recommend you head into Botswana for an exciting safari in Chobe and beyond. We will be pleased to arrange this for you.
