Malay and African heritage is evident in the cuisine, traditions and entertainment while the architecture reveals a strong Dutch, German and English flavour and style. Contemporary art is proudly displayed in a variety of galleries and modern boutique hotels, and wine bars and brandy tasting lounges will appeal to the fashionable set. For the well-heeled the finest in opera, ballet, drama and music can be appreciated in style.
You will receive a Complimentary VIP Meet & Greet and take a Private Road Transfer from Cape Town Airport to Twelve Apostles Hotel.
Spend 4 nights in One Mountain Facing Room including Breakfast with a complimentary historical tour of the property followed by a picnic lunch.
Dramatically poised on the slopes of the Twelve Apostles mountain range just outside Camps Bay, this 5 star boutique hotel overlooks a natural paradise of uninterrupted ocean and mountain panoramas. Delicious meals are served in the fine dining restaurant or grill, with the mountains and blue seas silently looking on. Sip cocktails in the bar, as the sun slips below the horizon, or enjoy a quiet evening watching a movie in the cinema. Relax in the heated pool, jacuzzi and spa, or doze in the Fynbos garden, lulled to sleep by the fresh scents of ocean and heated land.
Cape Point & Peninsular Privately Guided Full Day Tour:
Travel along the Atlantic Seaboard via Sea Point, Clifton and Camps Bay, to Hout Bay, a quaint village and fishing harbour with magnificent mountain views and beach. Continue via Chapman’s Peak, one of the world’s most breath-taking coastal drives, to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve and Cape Point which is perceived to be the meeting point of the Atlantic and Indian Oceans. Go on to historic Simon’s Town, a village with charming Victorian architecture, a naval base and a large penguin colony at the beautiful Boulders Beach. Boulders Penguin Colony is home to a growing colony of the vulnerable African Penguin. Wooden walkways allow visitors to view the penguins in their natural habitat and there is also a new information centre.
A lunch stop is made nearby. End the day with a visit to the well-known Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens. The Garden includes five of South Africa’s six different biomes and is world-renowned for the beauty and diversity of the Cape Flora it displays as well as for the magnificence of its setting against the eastern slopes of Table Mountain. The tour ends at ± 17:30 with drop-off at your hotel.
Depart Cape Town with a Private Road Transfer to Cape Town Airport to meet your flight to Maun, Botswana where a light aircraft will meet you for your exhilarating flight into the stunning Okavango Delta.
As old as time, the seasonal flood from the Angola Highlands is the heartbeat of Botswana. Seeping along the panhandle and into the largest inland delta system in the world, the water creates a uniquely beautiful National Heritage Site, the incoming tide of life bringing with it birth, transformation and replenishment. These ancient, cyclical changes provide an exceptional safari experience and the area supports vast herds of elephant, buffalo and hippo, as well as numerous antelope, giraffe, zebra and the ever present predators.
3 Nights at Kwetsani Camp in 1 Tree-House Tent
Located in the central region of the 60,000 Jao Concession in the north western section of the Okavango Delta, Kwetsani is one of the most remote camps in the delta. Set on an elongated island covered with palm, mangosteen and fig trees, Kwetsani has access to the vast open floodplains and some of the most stunning vistas of the Okavango Delta.
The excellent position of Kwetsani allows for water and land activities (dependent on water levels). In the summer months activities tend more towards game drives (Kwetsani boats to Hunda Island for game drives when water levels are high), whereas in the winter months (June – August), mainly water based activities are offered. Guests can enjoy day and night game drives, Mokoro trips, boating in the waterways west of camp, fishing (excluding January and February), bird watching and there is a raised hide 20 minutes from camp.
Depart Kwetsani by light aircraft to your next safari destination – the Linyanti Marshes of Northern Botswana.
Spend 3 Nights at Kwando Lebala Camp in 1 Luxury Tent
Lebala Camp is in the open plains of the Linyanti Marshes in Northern Botswana’s Kwando Concession. Pristine landscape includes vast plains, tree islands, scattered palms and wooded savannahs. Spacious and custom designed, the 8 tents are raised on decks and feature private verandahs and lovely views.
Between exciting game drives in open vehicles or (seasonal) walks through the reserve, relax in the comfort of the traditional wood and thatch main camp, or enjoy wholesome meals at the communal table. Cool off in the pool with its beautiful vistas across the plains, keeping watch for the animals which call this reserve home – in particular, elephants and a good concentration of predators.
Depart Kwando Lebala Camp by light aircraft to the border with Botswana to clear immigration into Zambia and then by Private Road Transfer to Tongabezi Lodge, Livingstone.
Livingstone provides the same escapades which make Victoria Falls so appealing: heart-stopping white water rafting, bungee jumping and glorious aircraft flips over the falls. The sprawling town of Livingstone is home to vibrant markets and museums dedicated to the local culture, history and rich railway heritage.
Spend 4 Nights at Tongabezi Lodge in the Dog House!
Warmly welcoming, Tongabezi on the Zambezi River merges quirky luxury, tranquil ambiance and a communion with nature. The 11 exclusive cottages and houses, a couple of which are open-fronted, overlook the area’s lush beauty and flowing river and these vistas can be admired throughout the lodge as well as from spacious verandahs and expansive decks which drop off into water.
Delight in island lunches, romantic floating candlelit dinners (weather dependent), all served with the attentive care in which Tongabezi prides itself. Spend lazy days in the beautiful 15m x 6 m swimming pool, set in landscaped gardens, or enjoy a wide range of activities including guided walks, canoeing, a local village excursion and trips to the Victoria Falls. There is a well-equipped gym nearby.
