This break combines adventure and relaxation in three of Zambia’s most exclusive and idyllic locations.
On arrival into Lusaka airport you will take a flight to Mfuwe Airport and from there a road journey into the South Luangwa National Park. Your destination is Mchenja Bush Camp, a luxury authentic camp set high on the banks of the Luangwa River and located in a top notch game viewing area. It is one of our favourites!
Spend 3 nights at Mchenja Bush Camp in a Luxury Tent, fully inclusive
This exceptional park is renowned for its prolific wildlife and in particular its leopard sightings. Expert guides will enthral you with their encyclopaedic knowledge of Luangwa’s flora and fauna. Norman Carr was the original pioneer of walking safaris in South Luangwa and this activity for many is the draw to this pristine wilderness. Nevertheless, exciting day and night game drives are a large part of discovering what this park has to offer.
Depart South Luangwa with a direct flight to the scenic Lower Zambezi National Park to the luxury bush camp of Chiawa on the banks of the Zambezi River.
Chiawa Camp – Spend 3 nights in a Luxury Tent, fully inclusive.
Multi award winning hospitality and flexibility is the Chiawa Camp hallmark. This family owned and managed camp will exceed all expectations.
A relatively undeveloped national park and the youngest in the country, the Lower Zambezi lies across the river from Zimbabwe’s Mana Pools, and together they form a massive wildlife sanctuary. Bigger mammals, predators, elephant herds and plains game are attracted to the valley and game viewing is particularly good during the winter months (June – September). Crocodiles and hippo dominate the waters, and along the Zambezi banks, the canopy of ebony and fig trees are alive with the constant movement and calls of numerous avian species. Summer offers avid birders sightings of the Narina Trogon and an array of brightly coloured birds and the area is known for its superb birding. Although not a big 5 destination (no rhino) the Lower Zambezi National Park offers an exceptional safari experience, with walking safaris, fantastic tiger fishing, game drives, canoeing and sunset boat safaris adding to the allure.
Depart Chiawa with a flight to Livingstone on the shores of the Zambezi River. Transfer to the idyllic Sindabezi Island, a private isle on the Zambezi River and round off your day with a sunset cruise.
