From Lusaka take a road transfer into Kafue National Park.
Kafue is Zambia’s largest National Park with a hugely varying landscape including the Kafue River, Lake Itezhi Tezhi, open plains, grassy dambos and miombo woodland.
Your destination is the remote Musekese Camp, a small owner hosted camp located on the eastern banks of the Kafue River.
3 nights at Musekese Camp in a ‘Machaba’ Safari tent.
The camp has a special feel to it; overlooking a permanent lagoon that is a magnet for wildlife in the area. The unique wildlife encounters in this unexplored, remote and pristine wilderness make for a once in a lifetime safari.
A typical day at Musekese Camp can include any of a number of exciting activities; from boat cruises along the unhurried Kafue river and its tributaries searching for elusive and rare birds, to walking safaris where the smells, textures and undulations of the ‘real’ Africa are experienced in a more immersive manner. Open game drive vehicles allow guests to get up close and personal with the larger animals of the Kafue. Added to which are the viewing hides and blinds that offer great photography opportunities of animal and birdlife.
After an early morning game viewing activity and breakfast depart Musekese Camp by road for Lusaka.
Spend 1 night in a Chalet at Pioneer Lodge with breakfast included.
Pioneer Lodge sits on the edge of Lusaka set in 25 acres of miombo woodland and offers a restful place to relax in-between safaris and an opportunity to meet fellow travellers.
After breakfast take a road transfer to Lusaka International Airport to meet your flight to South Luangwa.
Spend 3 nights at Flatdogs Camp in a Luxury Tent with river views, including Full Board and Safari Activities.
Flat dogs Camp is located just outside the South Luangwa National Park on the banks of the Luangwa River. The wildlife is good and the flexible, professional approach of the warm and friendly staff, and enthusiastic and extremely knowledgeable safari guides create the ultimate safari experience.
Safari activities include open vehicle game drives, bush walks and night drives.
Depart Camp by road to Mfuwe airport for your flight into Malawi. On arrival into Lilongwe you will take a light aircraft flight to the southern shores of Lake Malawi to Makokola Retreat.
Spend 3 nights at Makokola Retreat, Full Board in a Lake View Room.
This is the perfect place to relax after the rigours of a safari. Activities include water sports from water-skiing to sailing and sunset cruises, walking to a local village, spa treatments and golfing.
