This 10 night Tour begins in Cape Town where upon arrival you will receive a VIP Meet & Greet and a Private Road Transfer to the Twelve Apostles Hotel & Spa.
Special Stay 4 nights Pay 3 at Twelve Apostles Hotel in One Mountain Facing Room including Breakfast with a complimentary historical tour of the property followed by a picnic lunch.
Dramatically poised on the slopes of the Twelve Apostles mountain range just outside Camps Bay, this 5 star boutique hotel overlooks a natural paradise of uninterrupted ocean and mountain panoramas. Delicious meals are served in the fine dining restaurant or grill, with the mountains and blue seas silently looking on. Sip cocktails in the bar, as the sun slips below the horizon, or enjoy a quiet evening watching a movie in the cinema. Relax in the heated pool, jacuzzi and spa, or doze in the Fynbos garden, lulled to sleep by the fresh scents of ocean and heated land.
The tour begins at Kalk Bay, best known for its working fishing harbour and bohemian feel. Browse the arts and crafts on offer, perhaps do a bit of shopping in the quirky fashion boutiques and enjoy the antiques and collectables along the main strip.
Next, head over to Simon’s Town for those keen to find out more about the rich history surrounding this naval town, museums and monuments providing plenty of insight. Bringing this naval town to life is an insight into the shark diving industry and stories of Just Nuisance – Great Dane, WWII mascot and only dog ever enlisted in the Royal Navy.
Before heading into the Cape Peninsula itself search for your own rogue penguins – a splinter colony away from the crowded boardwalks over the main breeding site – on a beach known only to locals. The tour continues with a gentle hike in the Cape Peninsula Reserve, exploring secluded beaches, and this region’s unique wildlife. The return journey weaves back to Cape Town via Noordhoek Farm Village a food artisan hub of the Peninsula and – time permitting – stopping for a sundowner at a local brewery, vineyard, beach or scenic look-out, whatever takes your fancy.
*Lunch options are a choice of local eats, fine dining or a wild picnic lunch (lunch at an additional cost.)
At leisure to explore the many sights of Cape Town – one of the world’s top tourist destinations. There are so many things to do and see depending on your interests including:
The list is endless and we will be pleased to discuss and organise a whole range of tour options in the “Mother City” of Cape Town.
Take a Private Road Transfer from the Twelve Apostles to Franschhoek in the Cape Winelands.
Spend 2 Nights at Avondrood Guest House an historic Cape Dutch homestead, located in the Wineland’s village of Franschhoek.
After settling into your accommodation, you may wish to take a stroll through the quaint town to browse its cafes, art galleries and restaurants.
Make the most of your time in the Winelands by visiting some of the many vineyards and wineries in the area. You could cycle between several different estates, or take the Franschhoek Wine Tram, which follows a circular route through the town and the surrounding countryside, stopping at a number of different wineries where you can sample some of the region’s produce.
Enjoy gourmet meals lovingly prepared by experienced chefs and served in lush gardens, or stylish restaurants. The Winelands is all about stepping back from the hectic pace of modern living, and appreciating the finer things in life in some of the most gorgeous and tranquil locations this country has to offer.
Your safari adventure begins with a private road transfer to Cape Town International Airport to catch your flight into the Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve adjacent to the Kruger National Park.
Your destination is &Beyond Kirkman’s Camp, a 1920’s Transvaal Homestead and your home for the next 3 nights in a luxury Cottage Suite with private verandahs.
Enjoy a lavish afternoon tea served on the manicured lawn before departing on an adventurous safari game drive in an open vehicle with a guide and Shangaan tracker.
Sabi Sand is part of the Greater Kruger eco-system where the game roams freely which makes for a very authentic wildlife experience. Perfect for first timers on safari, game drives are very rewarding and you would hope to tick off the Big 5 (lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino and elephant) during your stay plus lots of other exciting sightings!
Game drives in the Sabi Sand are able to go off road in search of exceptional sightings and afternoon game drives may also continue after dark, with a specially filtered spotlight used to illuminate wildlife that remains active at night.
Welcome to the Greater Kruger National Park!
As you bump along the park roads, the sun warm upon your face and air dry in the back of your throat, your senses are on high alert. This is the real Africa, cut away from the hectic pace of life, home to Africa’s Big 5 (Lion, Leopard, Buffalo, Rhino & Elephant). The Kruger is alive, from the nervously twitching herd of impala after a night of predator action, to the wild dog cavorting like domestic pets alongside the road. Marvel as a herd of elephant simply appear from out the bush, then silently vanish back into the landscape.
With over 2 million hectares of pristine wilderness, the Kruger’s biodiversity sustains numerous species of game and birds.
Enjoy early morning and late afternoon into evening game drives (great for viewing nocturnal species or leopards hunting!) bush walks and birdwatching.
Indulge in private time in the fascinating library, browse the safari shop or while away a few hours in front of the roaring fireplace in the guest sitting room. Leisure hours can be spent by the pool admiring the bush landscape and enjoying wildlife sightings in the river valley.
If time allows enjoy your final 4×4 game drive on the private reserve before meeting your flight home.
