Leaving Cape Town behind you will be transferred to Cape Winelands to take in the magnificent mountain scenery and vineyards.

Franschhoek is lined with a cosmopolitan mix of trendy street cafés, art galleries, shops and superb restaurants that will delight the senses. The Franschhoek Wine Route has some of the best wine estates in the country where you can spend the afternoon sipping on fine wines and snacking on platters.
Depart Franschhoek with private transfer to Cape Town Station and relax in the pre-departure lounge in preparation to step on board the ‘Pride of Africa’ that is Rovos Rail.
Notice the impeccable attention to detail as you step aboard the wood-panelled coaches, which combine the opulence of pre-war travel with subtle modern innovations. The trains travel slower than usual, taking time to make interesting stops for walks, game drives and tours.
Socialise in the observation car as the train winds through the scenic areas of Touws River, De Doorns and Worcester through four tunnels of the Hex River Pass. The train makes a stop in the historic village of Matjiesfontein. Enjoy excellent company and cuisine before retiring to your luxury accommodation for the night.
On the second day the train will make an interesting stop in Kimberley, allowing plenty of time for you to visit the ‘Big Hole’ and the Diamond Museum. Dinner is served as the train continues its journey through Bloemhof, Leeudoringstad and Klerksdorp.
On your third day aboard, the train forges on at a relaxing pace, passing through Krugersdorp, Johannesburg and Germiston, arriving at Centurion where the Rovos Rail locomotive takes over and steams the train into Capital Park, Pretoria at around 12 noon.
You will receive a Private Transfer from Pretoria Station to your Luxury Hotel, in the leafy Johannesburg suburb of Rosebank – 54 on Bath to spend one night in a Deluxe Room with breakfast.
