Upon arrival in Lilongwe you will be met and assisted on a flight to Majete Reserve airstrip. A road transfer will take you to Mkulumadzi Lodge where you will spend the next 3 nights fully inclusive.
Majete has been the scene of an impressive programme of re-location of a great range and impressive numbers of animals including elephant, buffalo, black rhino, sable antelope, zebra, eland, hartebeest and kudu. The wildlife reserve has recently undergone a transformation and guests can enjoy the wildlife from their private chalet balcony.
Mkulumadzi is in a stunning location – undiscovered by tourists where activities include game drives and walking in mornings and late afternoons with time to relax beside the pool, gaze at the resident bird population and listen to the hippos wallowing in the Shire river.
Drive through the lush highlands to the Satemwa Tea Estate and Huntingdon House where you will spend the next two nights, Full Board. After lunch explore the area on mountain bikes, hiking or play croquet on the lawn.

Depart from Huntingdon and head towards one of Malawi’s finest parks – Liwonde National Park (3 hours). You will drive through the Ulongwe village and take a 2 minute transfer by boat across the Shire River to Mvuu Lodge.
You will be staying at Mvuu Lodge on a full board basis including activities which revolve around boating trips on the Shire River and game drives morning and afternoon/evening, nature walks and bike rides are also possible.
After morning activity catch charter flight to Likoma Island for a 4 night stay at Kaya Mawa, fully inclusive.

Guests arrive at Mkulumadzi by a footbridge suspended over the Mkulumadzi River. The perfect combination of luxury and isolation, Mkulumadzi boasts eight superb chalets set on the banks of the Shire River, shaded by giant leadwood trees and wild mangos.
