Peak season game viewing – July to October 2019
On arrival at Kasane Airport you will be met by your driver for the drive to Chobe Safari Elephant Camp.
Spend 3 nights at Chobe Elephant Camp in a Chalet, fully inclusive.
Chobe Elephant Camp is located on the western border of the Chobe National Park in the Chobe Forest Reserve.
Built high on the edge of a rocky ridge, it commands sweeping views over the floodplains of Chobe River. Eco-friendly and with an uncomplicated, rustic African feel, the lodge is comfortably appointed and welcoming. 11 chalets (including a family chalet) have polished floors, wooden beams and attractive contemporary furnishings. Each extends out to a private deck. Follow sandy walkways to the main lounge, dining and bar area, or settle in the pool, with its exquisite panoramas over the landscape. Game drives and boat cruises allow guests to view the magnificent animals which inhabit the area – elephants in particular.
Today you will depart Chobe by road and light aircraft into the Okavango Delta. The Okavango Delta is a heavenly waterworld teeming with animal and birdlife! You will be met on the airstrip by your guide and driven the short distance in an open 4×4 to Pom Pom Camp for a 2 night stay, fully inclusive.
This is a year round destination with game at its most prolific during the dry season.
Activities include game drives including exciting night drives, motorboat sunset cruise, mokoro trips and fishing.
Depart camp by light aircraft to Maun and your onward journey.
Optional extra would be to add on 2 nights in the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans to see desert adapted species. We will be pleased to advise you on best times to include this. Also consider starting your holiday in Victoria Falls to relax before the safari begins!

It is situated in a private concession in the heart of the Okavango Delta on the western boundary of the Moremi Game Reserve. Surrounded by stunning Okavango scenery made up of crystal clear channels and waterways, Pom Pom lies on a permanent lagoon laden with reeds, water-lilies, birdlife and hippos.
Built in traditional safari style all nine tents, including a family (children 8 years +) and honeymoon tent, are spread out under shady trees and overlook the tranquil and scenic lagoon. The tents are set on raised wooden decks with a large shaded verandah at the front. Bathrooms are en-suite and consist of a wash basin, flush loo and shower with a plentiful supply of piping hot water.
One of the jewels of the Okavango Delta Pom Pom Camp is known as much for its “soul” as for the delta swamps it is named after. Decorated in warm earthy tones the attractive open sided main lodge is constructed out of thatch and canvas and comprises a stylish lounge, dining and bar area and small curio shop. To the side of the bar is a plunge pool with loungers making it the perfect place to relax between meals and activities. A boma, sandy terrace with open fire pit, hammocks and easy chairs completes the picture.
