Rra Dinare meaning “Father of many buffalo” in the Setswana language, opened in 2017 on a private concession on the southeastern edge of the Okavango Delta, adjacent to Moremi Game Reserve.

The camp’s eight tents including a family tent are located on a prominent island that allows for lovely views over the Gomoti River and its floodplains.  Each tent is on a raised platform where guests can look out over the savannah.  The main building is thatched and open-sided leading and overlooks the camp fire, with a swimming pool area to one side.

Day and night drives, fishing, motorboat safaris and Mokoro safaris.

The annual floodwaters that have their origins in Angola, finally reach this area of the Okavango during the mid-late flood season.  As a result this camp is best visited March to October in order to enjoy the full range of river activities – motor boat safaris, Mokoro and fishing.

Wildlife & Birdlife

The game viewing is good in this private wilderness area, peaking June to October.  Varied activities at camp – combining 4×4 game drives over the savannah with explorations by boat on the waterways.  Expect sightings of leopard, lion, wild dog, cheetah, giraffe, elephant and hundreds of bird species.
