Located in the heart of the Okavango Delta, in the midst of thousands of hectares of private wilderness, Little Kwara looks out onto magnificent views of seasonal floodplains.

Little Kwara is a small and intimate tented safari camp of just five guest tents.

It is the ideal location for honeymooners or small groups, set in the midst of a prime game-viewing private concession.

The main area is home to a comfortable lounge, bar and dining area and the small pool, perfect for an afternoon cool down dip.  Little Kwara is manned by Botswana citizens, their openness gives you the perfect opportunity to  learn more about Botswana, her people, their lives, customs and beliefs.

Each tent is positioned amongst trees, shielding you from neighbours, access is via the raised wooden walkway to the rear of each tent ensuring privacy.  The rooms are spacious, and beautifully decorated with Zimbabwean teak furniture.  The en-suite facilities consist of a free standing claw foot bath as well as an outdoor shower for those who prefer alfresco ablutions.

With permanent and seasonal flood waters there is plenty to do with both land and water activities on offer.

Safari Experience

An early morning wake up starts the day with a quick, hearty breakfast of porridge/cereal, muffins, fruit, tea or coffee.  Then you head out on your activity with your guide and tracker.

Activities offered here are: mokoro trips, nature walks, double deck motor boat, fishing (seasonal) and game drives.  Morning activities end around 11 am, making way for brunch.  Then it’s relaxation time in camp, making use of the main areas or relaxing in your own tent.

Tea is served around 3.30 pm with an array of savoury and sweet food before the afternoon activity begins.  Return to camp about 7.30-8.00 pm for dinner.

Communal dining is the way at Kwando giving the opportunity to talk to your guide and other guests. After dinner enjoy a coffee or liqueur by the fire before bed.

Activity times and meal times are flexible, camp works around you – this is your safari!
