As a mobile safari company, the camps can be located wherever the itinerary takes us and includes Moremi Game Reserve, Savuti Marsh, Central Kalahari – the list goes on.

Letaka Safaris is a mobile tented safari company and the camp consists of en-suite wilderness tents (twin) and dining tent. 

A chef and crew travel in a separate vehicle with the equipment which they erect and dismantle at each wilderness location.

The campsites used within the National Parks and Game Reserves are wilderness sites.

There are no fixed buildings or facilities at these sites and the entire camp is erected and removed by the supply team.

These sites are for the exclusive use of one group at a time.

Safari Experience

Your wake-up call will be between 5 am and 6 am with a light breakfast served before the early morning game drive.

The best time of day to enjoy game viewing is in the early morning and late afternoon as most animals retreat to the shadows to rest during the heat of the day.

You will return to camp for a sumptuous lunch under the shade of a Marula Tree before an afternoon rest before departing for your afternoon activity before enjoying a sundowner and heading back to camp.

In the evening gather around the warmth of the campfire before enjoying a three-course dinner fit for a King served with South African wines against the magical backdrop of the Africa night sky.

Retreating to the comfort of your tent after enjoying a nightcap around the campfire, you can fall asleep to the calls of the African wild.

Wildlife & Birdlife

Due to the different locations that are visited on both scheduled and private tailor-made safaris, the wildlife and birdlife viewing will depend upon the itinerary.
