Muchenje Safari Lodge is situated within the Chobe Forest Reserve on the exclusive western side of the Chobe National Park.

The 11 thatched chalets are privately laid out along the edge of the escarpment overlooking the banks of the Chobe River.  All of the chalets are decorated with “rustic luxury” and each has a deck to enjoy panoramic views of the floodplain.  The rooms have air conditioning, separate bathroom area with showers, private verandas and view of Chobe floodplain.  The main building incorporates an elegant dining area, bar, library and a small gift shop. There is also a swimming pool.

You can enjoy the friendly hospitality of this privately owned and managed lodge, where you can explore the region on morning, afternoon and night game drives with professional guides.  Venture onto the Chobe River by boat to witness active herds of elephants and other wildlife attracted to the water’s edge.  You can go on guided bush walks and visit the local village to meet the people that make Botswana such a special place.

Chobe is world famous for its huge herds of elephants and buffalo. Prolific wildlife with over 450 bird species and 75 species of mammals.  Muchenje is a lovely location to appreciate the huge diversity of species unmatched anywhere in Botswana.
