Chobe Savanna Lodge, located in the north eastern region of Namibia’s Caprivi strip is the perfect hideaway from which to experience the Chobe River system.

Only accessible by boat, the lodge is a one hour water transfer from Kasane town and owns the most impressive views across the Chobe River and the Puku flats area of Chobe National Park. 

Chobe Savanna Lodge is a small property, accommodating guests in just 13 rooms, each fully air-conditioned, with complementary mini bars, tea and coffee making facilities and ensuite bathrooms.

Each room has a small private deck which allows unsurpassed and individual views across the Chobe River.

The lodge grounds are spacious and, combined with the airy public areas of the lodge building itself, has great place to sit and relax, including the bar where you can keep an eye on the 270 degree views across the incredible wildlife spectacle of the Chobe region.

Activities include boat cruises, a visit to a local village and school for cultural interaction, recreational fishing for bream and tiger fish and walks along the expansive Chobe floodplains (seasonal).

Wildlife & Birdlife

Chobe Savanna Lodge is a bird watchers haven with more than 450 species including a number of specials such as Schalows Turaco, African Skimmer, Rock Pratincole and Rosy-throated Longclaw.

Game watching from the river is exceptional and famous for huge herds of elephants, buffalo and Puku antelope.

Predators such as lions are often seen patrolling the river front and any number of game can be spotted coming down to drink.
